There's a lot of things that are involved with the gutters overflowing I'm going to go to the following things that can be happening to your gutter system.

1. One of the number one cause of your gutters overflowing is that you may need to clean them out

2. Another cause of your gutters overflowing is you may not have enough downspouts this is the pipe that goes down the wall and let the water out

3. He may need to get or install a bigger gutter trough from a 5 inch gutter trough to a 6 inch gutter trough this will allow you to get 2 gallons of water per lineal feet

4. Gutters are not level or maybe your home is not level in the gutter is not able to run to the outlet or the trough outlet the spout. A lot of times he may need to repitch the gutters but your home may not be a level and may be way off level and is not letting out to spout. 

5. Also always check to make sure that you have drippage around your home a lot of times if your roof shingles are short the water can be getting behind your gutters, and making it look like they are overflowing but most of the time your roof shingles are short the water is flowing back to the back of the trough and running down the facia board. 

  You may need to call out a gutter company and check your gutters to make sure they were installed correctly and not overflowing and causing damage to your gutter system

Life In Hampton Cove

Hello Readers

I had the most interesting evening this evening I went to the Buenavista Mexican Cantina. It involved 45 residents of Hampton Cove in Huntsville Alabama or shall I say Owen Crossroads.
                                     

This was a Meeting with N2 Publishing it is basically a news letter that is sent out to all the residents of a neighborhood in this news letter that is basically set up like a magazine tells a story about the families in the neighborhood maybe about there dog or there cat or a nice little recipe or something like that then a person sponsors the story on the page it will be a nice little advertisements showing support for the story. Then once a month the they invite 45 of 50 people at a time to a restaurant review to a local restaurant in close to the neighborhood this of coarse free food to the residents once they get there the advertisers or supporters of the stories show up to the dinner,  and can pass out cards,  and tell them about there products and services the sponsors can even do a give away like a free round of golf or something like that. N2 Publishing Is doing a good job I think to put people face to face just a great way to meet new people and spread your company name it is almost like helping out the community.  

At the food tasting reviews you can even set up a table to show your products and services.

Here at Mr Gutter of Huntsville I like to look at our services as helping people and the community with our special designed surface tension  leaf protect systems a great way to save a trip to the doctors office with a broke leg trying to clean you gutter system.

With in N2 Marketing and Life in Hampton cove this is more than just advertising this is meeting real people in Huntsville Alabama with all different  walks of life, this is families and kids and the local animals of the neighborhoods, not just placing an add in a Magizine and hoping some person or some one will pick this up read it and see your company this is real people.

In my line of work I am in sales and I love to Market but life is more than that life is [US] the people yes people meeting people talking to other people there is nothing more enjoyable in life than meeting and talking to people I really believe that is why God has blessed me with this job that I have yes I sell Gutters and Gutter guards but it is more than that to me. Sales Investigation

Hello Friends.

I am the owner of Mr. Gutter of Huntsville Alabama.  After years of selling I have been  Investigating my sales techniques I have found out some great points.
The key to sales is Sell yourself get the customer in the comfort zone,  sell your company,  and then sell your product,  RIGHT!! Well I this is what I have been doing for years,  I get to the house I talk about there dog there yard maybe there garden,  the sports car in the front yard,  I talk and talk then give them a price say well you ready to get it done?

WRONGE !!!!

After reading lots of books about sales, I have tried it every way possible and every technique's there is out there I have learned a simple processes that works.

        Ask Questions

Yes ask question even the dumb questions. Let me give you  some examples of what I am saying,  Ok I am going to try to sell you a car,

You the sales person start going off about what kind of cars we have on the lot we have this one and that one and this one has leather this one has a TV system for the kids this one has this and that and this.
Well you get the point.
So the couple leaves and says well we are going to look some more do you have a card so we can get back  with you { Sales person} so he gets there information and says if I get any other cars in I will give you a call.

So the car sales person calls back and ask them if they have found a car yet the couple says yes one just like what we where looking for one good on gas and has a 100 Mile warranty.

So the hole time all they where looking for was a car good on gas and has a great warranty the car sales person never ask them this question,  if he would have I am sure he would have made a sale the customers did not care about leather a TV in the back seat of what ever else the car sales person had to say.

Just a car good on gas and has 100,000 Mile warranty.

So ask a lot of questions make notes on what the customer tells you they want and what they are looking for. The key is to know what they want and what they need. If you just concentrate on the things they are after you will make a sales because you are fulfilling there needs.

Lots of times when you ask questions they will sell the product to them selves,  this is a great way to make a sale I call it indirect selling.

Example: Customer tell you we need this and this and this, You listen  [Yes Listen] and then one hour later you say to the customer remember you needed this and this and this. Well I have this and this and this for you and you are going to love it. You will never have to worry bout this again.

So just remember ask questions over and over again even though you may want to talk small talk or just start talking about your products or your services see what the customer wants and fill that desire they are after and your close ratio will improve.

Ask questions ask questions  and ask questions, this is key part to making a sale.

Gutters Across Your Porch

Hello,

My name is Dennis Liuzzo with Mr. Gutter USA, I would like to give some pointers on a gutter going along a porch, and you may not want to install a down spout on your nice pretty post column.

Or maybe its the back porch and you want to get gutters installed around the porch with no down spouts in the U Section at all.
The best way to accomplish this is with a six inch gutter system.
Using a six inch gutter system will carry one gallon of water more per foot than a six inch gutter.
Always remember to use a 3x4 inch down spout, this will carry plenty of water needed to empty the water out of the gutter in a fast way.

I know this is just a simple thing and maybe you are thinking this is not worth blogging about, but if you can find a company to install a six inch gutter system this will fix all your problems.
Ask the company to install hidden hangers and try to make them at least two feet a par,t this will give you plenty of strength to hold the gutters up when they get really full.

This is a hidden hanger, make sure to use a nice screw with a rubber gasket.
In the picture above you will notice the down spouts are on the right and left of the porch, and not down the porch columns.

This is just a good way to keep curb appeal to your home.

Selling Or Asking Questions

I have been in sales for years and have never figured the difference between just giving a price,  and selling

are trying to sell our products and services often times I would caught myself just talking about there dog 

Stripes On My Gutters

 Its late you go to bed you wake up grab a cup of coffee go walk out side think of things you are about to do for the day and look up to see lines going down your gutters.

You think for a minute then walk back inside get ready for work get in your car and back out the driveway as you pull out you look up still strips on your gutters, well you think hmm it will go away.
You drive home from work and still you see stripes on your gutters.

So what is this stripes down the gutters well, lets take for example a cold glass of water it sits on the table for a while after times passes a little it begins to sweet or condensate well this is exactly what is happening to your gutters condensation happening cleaning one line where it runs down the face and leaving the other spot dirty.

How do you clean this?

Well there is a way but it will always come back to haunt you it all depends on the geographical location of your home also the amount of trees you have how shaded your home is how much pollen and sap comes off the trees.

Sap will build up on the exterior of the trough of the gutter and the will run down the face of it cleaning a strip every morning and ever night if its in the shade this can happen lot more often as it is in a cooler section of the home


How to clean this well this is not easy I would suggest using one cup of bleach to 5 gallons of water adding some dish detergent and using one cup of vinegar mix together get a nice brush scrub it on let it sit and wash it off.

In some cases if you have waited to long the paint on your gutters will be stained and will not come clean even if you paint over this it will come through the paint and come back it is an endless battle.

I would also suggest the next time you install new gutters to use a powder coated gutter this will stop this problem of the paint being stained and not coming clean but you will still have to clean your gutters at least once per year.
